This is our second month...

“During this time, I will be your older sibling.. and I want you to know that I am here for you... in whatever you need”.. I told the two ladies sitting in front of me. One was two years younger than me, a mother of three. The other one, closer to double my age, and I almost double her size. Yet that did not matter, to them nor I.

Accompanied by 8 caged roosters, 6 children's interruptions, and a little puppy that came looking for attention, we kept talking about the Lord and introducing these two women into their discipleship time with me. A journey of nearly 6 months, on the basics of God and living for Him.

This is our second since we started the homegroup. Last week there were 10 adults and 9 children. God is soo good! Last week I started discipleship with 3 people, and the week before, another 2 accepted Jesus as their savior!

Praise Him!

• Last saturday, Jonas & I were talking about how we are going to make it, wondering if it was really God that spoke to us about our wedding date... and taking a hard look at finances... we grimaced at the thought. We decided that night, that we wanted to learn to walk by faith. Unpon my retur that monday, my dad began telling me that someone wanted to give us a vehicle... it turned out it was for me! God is soo good, and he works through soo generous people. Thank you!

• It's great to see new youth comitting to Jesus, cold ones turning to Him.. he is good!

Up Ahead!

• We're doing a kids camp this Friday and Saturday, it's gonna be amazing. We are asking God to show up in these kid's life's.

• A couple youth evangelism events coming up... praying for more new kids!

• Heading out to rancho nuevo weekly or 3 times a months... prayin for true disciples!

• Weekly Home group is going great, I'm working with a couple ladies to train them up, cause right now I give the kids class and the home group, as well as worship... and it get's kinda long! Haha.

“Durante éste tiempo, seré tu hermana mayor... y quiero que sepas que yo estoy aquí para tí... en lo que necesites”.. Les decía a las dos mujeres sentadas frente a mí. Siendo una dos años menor que yo, madre de tres hijos, y otra casi lo doble de mi vida y yo el doble de su estatura. Pero eso no me importaba a mi ni a ellas.

Acompañados por 8 gallos, 6 niños interrumpiendo, y un perrito chiquito que buscaba atención, nosotras seguíamos hablando del Señor e introduciéndolas al discipulado. Un camino de casi 6 meses, en lo básico de Dios y como vivir para El.

Este nuestro segundo mes desde que comenzamos el grupo. La semana pasada tuvimos 10 adultos y 9 niños. Dios es bueno. La semana pasada comencé el discipulado con 3 personas, y la semana anterior a esa, otras dos personas aceptaron a Jesús como su salvador! Que chido!

• El sábado pasado, Jonás y yo estábamos hablando acerca de como es que la vamos a hacer, preguntando si realmente hemos oído de Dios acerca de nuestra fecha de boda... y tomando una larga y triste mirada a nuestras finanzas, dudando de como sobreviviríamos. Pero decidimos ésa noche, que queríamos aprender a caminar por fé. Regresé ese lunes, en cuanto llegué mi papá me habló de que alguien nos había regalado uun vehículo... y resultó que era para mí! Lo puedes crees?! Dios es tan bueno, and usa a personas tan generosas. Gracias!

• Es tan chido ver jóvenes comprometerse con Jesús, aún corazones fríos regresar a El... El es bueno!

Mirando hacia adelante!

• Estamos por hacer un campamento de Niños este viernes y sábado, y va a ser sorprendente. Estamos pidiendo que Dios se presente en sus vidas.

• También tendremos varios eventos de evangelismo para jóvenes... orando por mas jóvenes!

• Seguimos llendo a Rancho Nuevo semanalmente o tres veces por mes... pidiendo por discípulos!

• Con el grupo cada semana, ahorita estoy trabajando con varias damas, para que puedan ser interinos. Ahorita estoy dando la clase de los niños, la alabanza, y la de los adultos... y quisiera ayuda.. porque como que se hace largo el grupo!! jaja

What do you mean there's going to be a shoot out?

“What do you mean there's going to be a shoot out? Who told you?”.

It was monday night, our first night at the fair. And in those afternoon and evening hours, violence was a word not far from our prayers and hearts. For, which one of us did not know about the violence that was raging in our town.

I had heard that a couple people had been killed on the first night... it didn't make the news. And now a shoot out? With us present? Something needed to change.

Behind the wooden stage, hidden by the rustic frame, we crowed in a circle, asking for God's favor, protection and boldness, after all... we were the ones that had eternal life. Not them. We had everything to gain, but them? They had all to loose.

You should have been there, and seen those 25+ youth and adults. Some on stage, some with painted faces and clowned up, others preaching, others handing out tracts. With a firm desire and belief that if He had saved us, He could touch their hearts too.

This what His heart is about. Even in dangerous times. “Who will go?”

Excitedly I can tell you, that we are safe, and they are coming to know Him. People are praying to receive Jesus every night. Last night I got to talk with a couple from another city, so interested in the gospel. Awesome.

This is the time.

To those of you who are standing with me... thank you.

We have had five days, and have three more days for this evangelism. We appreciate your prayers and need them, for continued salvation and protection. We are working hard with evangelism and discipleship. As the day draws near in which we will see Him. May we be led by His Spirit in these days, and may His Kingdom come!

*This was written a couple weeks ago, yet for lack of time I was able to send it out till now. Blessings

“Como que va a haber un tiroteo? Quien te dijo?”.

Era lunes en la noche, nuestra primer noche en la feria. Y en aquellas horas de la tarde y noche, violencia era una palabra que no estaba lejos de nuestras oraciones y corazones. Pues, cada uno de nosotros sabía de la violencia que estaba acechando nuestro pueblo.

Había oído que unas personas habían sido muertas en la primera noche... y que no había hecho noticias.
Y ahora un tiroteo? Con nosotros presente? Algo necesitaba cambiar.

Detrás de la plataforma, escondidos detrás de la madera rústica, nos encontrabamos apretados en un circulo pidiendo el favor de Dios, protección y valentía. Después de todo... nosotros eramos los que tenían vida eterna. Ellos no. Nosotros teníamos todo para ganar, ¿pero ellos? Ellos tenían todo que perder.

Hubieras estado allí, visto aquellos 25+ jóvenes y adultos. Algunos en la plataforma, algunos con rostros pintados y empayasados, otros predicando, otros dando folletos. Con un firme deseo y creer que si El nos había salvado a nosotros, El podía tocar sus corazones también.

De ésto se trata Su corazón. Aún en tiempos peligrosos. “¿Quién irá?”

Emocionada te puedo decir, que todos estamos a salvo, y que personas están llegando a conocerle. Gente está orando para recibir a Jesús cada noche. Anoche hablé con una pareja de otra ciudad tan interesados en el evangelio. Que chido.

Éste es el tiempo.

Para aquellos que me están apoyando... muchas gracias.

Acabamos con cinco días, y tenemos tres días más de evangelismo. Apreciamos tus oraciones y las necesitamos, para más salvación y protección. Estamos trabajando duro con evangelismo y discipulado. Viendo que el día se acerca en el cual le veremos. Que seamos dirigidos por Su Espíritu en éstos tiempos, y que ¡venga Su Reino!

Que El sea con Tu Espíritu. Amen.

This is what it's about

“So you mean to tell me that everyone that comes by here says hi to you?”. His answer told me that it was so. But I had to ask “Even if you don't know them?!”. His head nodding told me it was for real. “Wow then I'm not doing that good” I thought to myself, as I remembered all the strangers that I didn't greet as we passed in the street.

How different to my mindset. It had never occurred to me that they would say hi to people they didn't know. I guess I just thought... that only I was the stranger! At the same token, all that we were about, screamed a total different mind set to them. How did they feel about what WE shared with THEM?Plastic strung chairs, hammocks, dirt flour, and chickens pecking around... this was the place where we could share the most important thing to us, the gospel. “Why do they come?” I asked myself. But my thoughts were soon interrupted by their jokes and friendly laughter. We certainly did like talking with them. Mago and I enjoyed every Friday afternoon, cause we could go hang out in this little town, New Ranch (Rancho Nuevo).

Excitment flows in my veins and in my heart, as I see young and old hear the gospel. A man accepted Jesus today. I know it's the first step, but it sure is a sweet one!

This is what it's about. This is what is on his heart. To do as He did.

“Pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest, to send forth laborers into the harvest.” Mat. 9:38

6. Sooo... again this year, I was in charge of the youth Congress of Youth Revolution. It lasted December 29, 30 & 31 with the theme “Contracorriente” (Against the Current). It was a really good, solid word being shared, sweet worship, amazing presence of God. There were close to 100 youth there. Ben Clark and Erasmo & Erika Montiel shared. Jonás Cortés and Juanito were leading worship. It was a really good time seeking His face. God spoke to our lives, where it was needed. He is awesome.

5. I'm working on changing offices. So right now I have been painting and will be changing stuff around. I really want to move up to where the youth room is, so that I can be closer to getting more done in the youth room, and make a time for the youth room to be open to the youth. But there's stilll quite a bit of work to be done for that to happen!

4. I feel as a youth group, we need to do more evangelism this year. Please pray for that... and for youth of Petatlan to hear and accept the gospel in a meaningful way.

3. We have been supporting the county with a kids event recently, though I wasnt entirely involved, it was fun to get out there with the clowns, and do some games, dramas and share some gospel. This is most deffinetly a first... we have never been able or asked to participate with any government activity. This a real miracle and God's favor is all over it!

2. Our participation with the government is opening doors and opportunities. One of those opportunities is to give, towards a real need in town. Which is for a dentists' office for more needy people. They are lacking a dentists' chair as well as the tools. If you have any info for those, please let me know.

1. And last, or should I say first? Haha. Well on December 25, Christmas day... I was given a present, which I love, and still can't believe it's for real.... wanna know? Hehe. Jonás asked me if I would marry him!!! And I said yes!! Just wanted you to know... I feel soo blessed, beacuase He has blessed us :) Seriously. The date? Well... I guess we'll have to let you know once we do! Cause WE don't! Haha.

“Así que me quieres decir que todos los que pasan por allí te saludan?”. Su respuesta me decía que era verdad. Pero le tenía que preguntar mas. “Aún si no los conoces?!”. Su cabeza me indicaba que era la neta. “Wow, entonces creo que no he andado tan bien como pensaba” Pensé a mi misma, mientras ma acordaba de todos los desconocidos que no había saludado en la calle.

Cuan differente a mi mentalidad! Nunca se me había ocurrido que ellos le saludarían a personas que no conocían. Creo que simplemente había pensado... que solo yo era la extranjera! Pero a la misma vez, todo lo que nosotros representabamos, les gritaba acerca de una mentalidad totalmente differente a la de ellos. Como sentirán acerca de lo que NOSOTROS compartimos con ELLOS?

Sillas con cuerdas de plastico, hamacas, piso de tierra, las gallinas comiendo... éste era nuestro lugar para compartir lo mas valioso para nosotras, las buenas nuevas. “Porque vendrán?” Me preguntaba. Pero mis pensamientos fueron en seguida interrumpidos por los chistes y sus risas amistosas y divertidas. Realmente nos gustaba platicar con ellos. Mago y yo disfrutabamos los viernes en la tarde, porque podíamos ir a este pequeño pueblo, Rancho Nuevo.

La emoción corre por mis venas y mi corazón, mientras veo a jóvenes y adultos escuchar el evangelio. Un hombre aceptó a Jesús hoy. Y aunque se que es el primer paso de muchos... es padrísimo!

De eso se trata. De eso se trata Su corazón. De eso se trata... hacer como El hacía.

“Orad pues al Señor de la mies, que mande obreros a su mies.” Mat. 9:38

6. Asi queee... otra vez estuve a organizando el Congreso Juvenil de Revolución Juvenil aqui en Petatlán. Fueron los días 29, 30 & 31 de Diciembre, con el lema de “Contracorriente” . Me gustó un resto, una palabra sólida y buena, una alabanza padrísima... y la presencia de Dios allí. Fueron cercas de 100 chavos. Ben Clark y Erasmo & Erika Montiel compartieron. Jonás Cortés and Juanito dirigieron la alabanza. Fué un tiempo padre de buscar Su rostro. Dios habló donde necesitabamos su palabra en nuestra vida. Es chidisimo nuestro Dios.

5. Stoy trabajando con cambio de oficinas, así que ando pintando y cambiando las cosas. Ya me quiero mudar para allá arriba para estar mas cerca del cuarto de jóvenes para poder trabajar allí y pasar mas tiempo con los chavos y arreglando el cuarto. Pero creo que aún falta mucho para que quede el cuarto de los jovenes!

4. Siento que como grupo de jóvenes, necesitamos hacer mas evangelismo en este año, si podrías estar orando acerca de eso... y que los jóvenes en Petatlan oigan, reciban y acepten el evangelio, que cambie sus vidas.

3. Hemos estado apoyando al municipio con un evento para niños, y aunque yo no estaba totalmente involucrada, stuvo chido andar allí con los payasos, los juegos, y poder compartir un poco del evangelio. Netamente este tipo de evento fué la primera para nosotros, pues nunca nos habían pedido participar ayudando al Dif municipal. Favor del Señor!

2. Nuestra participación con ellos está abriendo puertas y oportunidades. Una de esas oportunidades es para dar, hacia una real necesidad de nuestro municipio. Ellos están necesitando una silla dental e instrumentos dentales. Si tienes información o donativos para eso, porfas avisame.

1. Y por ultimo o primera jaja. Una noticia... que el 25 de Diciembre, en navidad... me dieron un regalo que me encanta mucho, y que aun no me la creo... quieres saber? Jeje. Jonás me pidió que me case con el, y le dije... que sii!! :) No tenemos la fecha todavia, asi que no se preocupen todavía jaja, pero stamos muy happy jeje.
