As the band was finishing the last song, I knew I was next. 'All this time and now I get to speak to these kids', I thought to myself. 'Lord, speak through me'.
We were supposed to start at 5:30 p.m., but this was the first time we had gotten together, so we got a late start. This was a meeting of my youth along with 3 other churches, “One Generation”, we had come together to seek God's face (Ps. 24:6), this was the first time an event like this had happened.
It was after 8, and as I stood in front of these kids, I really did have their attention. I felt like I didn't know what to say, I had waited for this moment and I had prayed for this event months ago, wondering if I had heard from God, and wondering if it would ever happen. But it did!
I could see that God was working on some of the youth as I spoke, and for their hearts to be touched, that is something that no man can do without God's word.
We finished the word, ate some yummy pizza and came back for the conclusion. “Te gustó Una Generacion!?” (did you like One Generation!?) I said at the top of my lungs. “Si!!!!” came my reply, and I could tell they meant it. “Quieren hacerlo otra vez?!” (do you want to do it again?!), and Yes was again the answer. I am excited, for we WILL be doing it again!
I have long desired to write you, this has been a crazy two months! Life is really good, God is good. And some of the things that have been going on are:
The youth conference “Revolucion Juvenil” (Youth Revolution) was amazing, truly God did speak! The 1, 2 & 3 of November, with more than 120 youth, where we were blessed to have Jonás Cortez minister in worship, Phil McNeill in the word along with James Blake, Ben Clark, Lisset Cortez, Arminda Sanchez, Marlen Avelino, Ruben Martinez, Becci Snyder, I and many more. Organizing this event was a challenge, but I felt the grace of God upon my life. life.
The next week after that we had the March For Jesus right here in my city of Petatlan! It was really great to worship with a couple hundred believers in the center of our town. It was good to be a part of the worship team that ministered.
Last saturday I took the youth (about 31 of the kids) to the beach, we had a rockin' time playin' games and sitting around a fire on the sand. Even though we were getting eatin up by little critters jeje, I loved another chance to sit and talk with them about Jesus and becoming more like him. I truly value the time that I can spend with them.
And of course this saturday we were busy with the One Generation...but...I already told you bout that!
- At a personal level, I feel like this time has been a streching time for me. I am trying to keep up with my work, schooling and ministry. God is good.
“Faithful is He who calls you, He will also do it” 1 Thes. 5:24
I want to say a huge thank you to all my supporters! I couldn't do this without you!!
This month I am looking at taking advantage of the vacations, and perhaps spending more time with my youth...as well as enjoying my family, cause Sam and Sarah (bro and sis in law) are comin' down!!

Sábado 1 de Diciembre, en Petatlán, Guerrero, México. Luces bajas y musica resondando, estabamos en una reunion de 80 personas...de 80 jóvenes. Habíamos apenas terminado unos juegos despeinados, dejando toda la cancha de basket manchada de agua y huevos!
Mientras la banda terminaba el ultimo canto, sabía que yo era la que seguía. 'Todo este tiempo', pensé a mi misma, 'que he esperado para este evento, y ahora ya está aquí'. 'Señor habla por medio de mi'.
Debíamos de haber comenzado a las 5:30 p.m., pero siendo la primera vez, comenzamos tarde. Esta era una reunión de mis jóvenes y tres otras iglesias, “Una Generacion”. Nos habíamos reunido para buscar el rostro de Dios (Sal. 24:6), esta era la primera vez que algo asi se habia hecho aqui.
Ya era después de las 8, y mientras me paraba frente a estos chavos, me di cuenta que realmente si tenía su atención. No sabía que decir. Había esperado por ese momento, orado por esta reunion desde hace meses atrás. Me había preguntado que si realmente había escuchado de Dios, me había preguntado si realmente sucedería algún día. ¡Pero sí sucedió!
Podía ver que Dios estaba hablando a algunos chavos mientras hablaba, y yo se que para que eso suceda, es algo que solamente Dios puede hacer.
Terminamos el tiempo de la palabra, comimos unas deliciosas pizzas y regresamos para la conclusión.
“Te gustó Una Generacion!?” le pregunté a toda voz a los chavos. “Si!!!!” vino mi respuesta, y pude ver que si era cierto. “Quieren hacerlo otra vez?!” y de igual manera llegó mi respuesta. Pues, yo estoy emocionada, ¡por que SI lo vamos a hacer de nuevo!
Les he querido escribir por un buen de tiempo ya, ¡pero si han sido unos dos meses bien alocados! La vida está muy bien, Dios es bueno. Te cuento algunas de las cosas que han estado sucediendo:
El congreso juvenil de “Revolucion Juvenil” fué realmente sorprendente, ¡Dios habló profundamente! El 1, 2 & 3 de Noviembre, con alrededor de 120 jóvenes, fuimos bendecidos con tener Jonás Cortez junto con su banda que nos ministraron en Alabanza, Phil McNeill con la palabra junto con Santiago Blake, Benjamin Clark, Lisset Cortez, Arminda Sanchez, Marlen Avelino, Ruben Martinez, Becci Snyder, yo y muchos mas. Organizar este evento me fué un reto grande, pero sentí la gracia de Dios en mi vida.
La semana después de eso tuvimos la Marcha por Jesús aquí ¡en mi cuidad de Petatlán! Estuvo muy chido alabar a Dios con unos cuantos cientos de personas en el centro del pueblo. Fue bueno ser parte del equipo que ministró en la alabanza.
Este ultimo sábado (hace una semana) me llevé a los jóvenes (como unos 31 de los jóvenes) junto con los líderes a la playa, y nos divirtimos un resto jugando unos juegos descabellados y relajándonos cercas de la fogateada. Y aunque nos querían comer vivos unos bichitos por allí, me encantó tener otra oportunidad de estar un rato y platicarle a los chavos acerca de Jesús y como ser más como El. Realmente valoro el tiempo que yo pueda pasar con ellos.
Y por supuesto este sábado estuvimos ocupados con Una Generación..pero pues..¡ya les conté de eso, verdad!
A nivel personal, siento que este tiempo ha sido un tiempo de estiramiento para mi. Estoy tratando de terminar todo lo que tengo en mi trabajo, escuela y ministerio. Dios es bueno.
“Fiel es el que os llama, El cual también lo hará” 1 Tes. 5:24
¡Le quiero dar unas gracias enorme a todos que me sostienen y apoyan! ¡¡No podría hacer todo lo que hago sin tu ayuda!!
Para este próximo mes estoy queriendo aprovechar las vacaciones, y posiblemente pasar mas tiempo con mis chavos...y también disfrutar mi familia, porque Samuel y Sarah (mi mano y mana por la ley jeje) ¡van a venir!
¡Feliz día de gracias (a todos los que celebran el día del pavo jeje)! Espero que puedas tener un mes muy chido en Jesús. ¡Los quiero!
