I must say, that was not the best word I have ever heard (not even close :), then again that wasn't the biggest audience I have ever seen, either. The total of four students and two teachers made up my grand multitude of attentive listeners. But I was grateful to have been asked to be with them, and I also know that the things that God has prepared for those who love Him 'have not entered the heart of man...' (1 Cor 2:9) and so it will be with these students and this school.
Then came Lunch time. We had yummy 'croquetas' [dog food] on the menu...please don't worry, it's an actual meal & very good at that! I changed into my dirty clothes and went back to work till about 6:30 pm.
Showering was not an option, more like a command, for at 7:00 pm all the youth were going to show up at my place, and I was a stinky one! I quickly made 'agua de Horchata' [a rice water drink], put some muffins in the oven, and invited people in for our 'Noche de Martin' [Martin Night]. I am still amazed that I had their attention long enough to tell them, with Mom's help, about Martin Luther, how his life & his works changed the world. And then we watched the Martin Luther movie. The kids were totally into it...I felt like I was tricking them into studying Theology & History...and they loved it!
By the time I was done with cleaning up it was close to 12 pm, I was exhausted and happy, because I had the chance to spend my whole day with the youth...to love on them & challenge with the thought that perhaps God wants to use them to change the world too :)

<> I'm taking the youth to a Youth conference about 6 hrs. away from April 9th-15th. That God would pour out His Spirit on us, and take us there safely.
<> I need God's grace to fix up my papers in the country (visa & vehicle papers), I may be travelling to Lazaro Cardenas (2 hrs. away) to get that in order the 16th-18th, it all just takes more time & money.
<> I'll be travelling to Acapulco to help sing at an event there from the 19th- 21st , and I will be flying out the 24th to meet up with my parents and my family in MN...and get some good 'Family Time' ;)
<> So...if you think of it please pray for the Church & Youth while we are gone. Provision & safety for Me, Dad & Mom (David & Becci).

'Corazón de Leon...' La predica divertida se oía de las bocinas mientras algunos de los chavos y yo escuchábamos al Predicador Argentino hablarnos de como tener un Corazón de León.
Eran como las 9 am y estábamos trabajando en el nuevo cuarto de los jóvenes. La madera café necesitaba ser lijado, bañado en gasolina, y luego pintado con barníz. Éstos chavos estaban trabajando estupendamente, pero antes que me diese cuenta, ya tenía que cambiarme de prisa...pues yo había sido invitada para dar una platica al Instituto del Ministerio.
Tengo que admitir que ésa no fue la mejor palabra que yo he escuchado, pero tampoco fué la audiencia más grande que he presenciado. Cuatro estudiantes y dos maestros hacían el gran total de la multitud de atentos oyentes. Mas yo estaba agradecida de que me hubiesen pedido a mi estar con ellos, pues yo se y creo que las cosas que Dios ha preparado para los que le aman 'no han entrado el corazón del hombre'(1 Cor 2:9) y así será para ésta escuela y éstos estudiantes.
Luego llegó la hora de la comida. Nos dieron muy ricas 'croquetas' ...no te preocupes, era el rico plato, no la comida canina :) Me cambié a mi ropa sucia y regresé al trabajo hasta como las 6:30 pm.
Una ducha no era opción, sino obligatoria, pues yo apestaba, y a las 7:00 pm los jóvenes me iban a caer allí en la casa! Rápidamente hice el agua de horchata, preparé un postre y lo puse en el horno e invité a los chavos pasar adentro para nuestra 'Noche de Martin'. Aún estoy un poco sorprendida de que mantuve su atención suficiente tiempo para platicarles de Martín Lutero junto con mi mamá, de como su vida y sus obras cambiaron el mundo. Y luego vimos la película de Martín Lutero. Como que les gustó a los chavos...¡casi me sentí como que les andaba poniendo una trampa, y ni supe como, pero allí estaban todos entretenidos, aprendiendo Teología e Historia...y les encantó! ¡Sorprendente!
Cuando terminé de limpiar, casi eran las 12 pm, estaba bien cansada pero feliz, porque tuve la oportunidad de pasar todo mi día con ellos...en alguna forma amarlos & retarlos con el pensamiento de que quizá Dios los quiera usar para también cambiar el mundo :)
¿Y que de ti? Tal vez Dios te quiere usar para cambiar TU mundo para bien, ¡¿que piensas?

<> Me voy a llevar a los jóvenes a un Congreso Juvenil a 6 hrs. de aquí de Abril 9-15. Que Dios derrame su Espíritu sobre nosotros, y nos lleve con bien.
<> Necesito la gracia de Dios para arreglar mis papeles para estar dentro del país (visa & papeles del vehículo), puede que vaya a viajar a Lazaro Cardenas (a 2 horas de aquí) para arreglarlo el 16-18, solo toma más tiempo y dinero.
<> Voy a viajar a Acapulco para ayudar cantar en un evento allí del 19-21, y luego saldré en un vuelo el 24 para juntarme con mis padres y mi familia en Minnesota...y poder tener un buen tiempo con la familia allá ;)
<> Entonces...si pudieras orar para la Iglesia y la juventud mientras estamos fuera. Provisión y seguridad para Mí, Papá y Mamá (David & Rebe).
